Cincinnati Public Schools is distributing laptop computers to students who need them for summer learning classes.
The computers are for CPS students who do not have access at home to technology for school work. They are on loan to students and must be returned at a date to be determined later.
If a student previously has been issued another CPS device, such as an iPad, it must be turned in before obtaining a new device.
On Wednesday, June 3, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., seniors from the Class of 2020 who are taking summer classes to earn credits toward graduation may pick up devices at Woodward Career Technical High School, 7005 Reading Road, 45237.
On Wednesday, June 10, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., CPS students in all other Summer Learning classes may pick up devices at four distribution sites:
- Aiken High School, 5641 Belmont Avenue, 45224
- Midway School, 3156 Glenmore Avenue, 45211
- Shroder High School, 5030 Duck Creek Road, 45227
- Woodward Career Technical High School, 7005 Reading Road, 45237
CPS students who are unable to come on the designated day may come on another distribution day.
When you arrive at a distribution site, pull into the front driveway and a CPS technician will give instructions. Guidelines from the federal Centers for Disease Control, Governor DeWine and the Ohio Health Department will be followed during distribution.
